An ode to Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2020. It's an incurable neuro/nerve condition where the pain receptors in the brain misfire and, not only misinterpret pain, but also creates widespread and/or acute pain around the body. This piece is a reminder that the brain can be powerful (and a liar!) and, whether its fibro or general overthinking, I try and centre myself back to the tangible environment around me.
